Given how long he's stayed with this program as a walk-on, I'm banking on the former. I don't think he'll be an elite player, but he'll probably get better for this, a la Phil Missire (and White certianly still has much more talent around him then Phil did - that will make him better too).

Agree completely 72, did worked out like a fiend over the summer especially in the eight room, he will help. I think he told me he may have transferred from LIU.

Don't see it. He's another guard. Right now you have GG taking the 5 spot. Moe will have to play 4. Dom can spell some time there too because he can play D and rebound. Those 3 are pretty much the only players who can play 4 or 5.

Then you have Nuri, Deangelo, Phil and Stith manning the 1, 2 and 3 spot.

Don't see it. He's another guard. Right now you have GG taking the 5 spot. Moe will have to play 4. Dom can spell some time there too because he can play D and rebound. Those 3 are pretty much the only players who can play 4 or 5.

Forget about what position he played in high school he will be a hybrid sub at 6'4 215 and will be used more as a small forward than a guard when one of the frosh fouls out. He may actually see 5 minutes a game. Good for him!

Agreed. Heck, that's what I would have done.

If memory serves, that $1 million was a singing bonus, so he gets that regardless. He is still giving up potential salary, if something goes bad with him (let's hope not).

 Pretty much the way I see it. If he has put time in the WT room and on the court who knows, could be a sleeper.Saw him get in a few games not long but he has talent which may come to the top Wouldn't that be a pleasant surpise. If the staff is giving him a schollie they see something

Is he Pelle, no! This will be a 7 man rotation very early on and Jamal will be the 8th man. Not bad. he was a terrific scorer in high school btw! By January this team will add one or two players and we can all calm down.

 BASED ON HS REPUTATION,HE IS A GOOD PLAYER,BUT HE ONLY PASSED THE BALL AROUND A FEW TIMES LAST YEAR,DURING ROUTS. HE IS NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH CAMERON EDISON WHO PLAYED MORE MINUTES AND LOOKED SOMEWHAT POLISHED.
