8 Man Rotation
You do realize we play 31 games, and already have 3 losses.
You do realize that Big East Tournament wins count toward our record, right?

I'd been predicting 27 wins headed into the Big Dance for a while now, but it wouldn't take much for it to all come crashing down.
That's either 25 and 2 or 24 and 3, regular season and BET wins.

If we assume Duke is a loss that means going 11-1 or 10-2 in the balance of the BE and I don't think they can get there, The only scenario I see where they get a bid is to go 9-3 in conference to finish 23-6 plus Duke TBA, make the BET finals, and get at least one more high quality regular season win (read Nova, Marquette or Duke). I don't see a scenario where 10 or 11 BE wins gets them in with just the Marquette win to hang their hat on. The OOC SOS will continue to be trash no matter how well VCU and Bowling Green do since their remaining schedules are weak, super unlikely either finish in the top 50. Obviously winning the BET is the other option and honestly I see that as the better possibility.

23-8 regular season and 2 wins in BE tourney (25-9 overall) absolutely gets them in.

Even if all of those additional wins are against Creighton, Xavier, Providence, Butler, Depaul and GTown (and they certainly could be)? That would be very bubbly a la the Va Tech or Syracuse teams I've watched get shunned to the NIT.

Imho yes, but it's obviously only my opinion. If we finish 11-7 we will be no worse than 4th in BE regular season and then win two games in tourney I will be completely confident on selection Sunday.

I have to believe enough of the Creighton's and Xavier's and Butler's of the world will sneak into the RPI top 50-75 and assuming 1 or 2 are on the road that would be enough. But the fact that they would need to win 23, 24 games just to get into an expanded NCAA field of 68 teams would show how LITTLE weight the committee gives to their 12-0 start.

Is it just me perhaps, but not saying Heron is playing badly but thought he was going to be a talent that would have been able to take over a game esp during the last few mins. When Ponds went down I thought he was going to have a monster game. If nobody steps up big we are in trouble. I know Keita was coming off an injury but looking deeper I do not think he is an answer to our center problems think he at best will be coming off the bench next yr

We’re 14-3 overall, 2-3 in BEC, with 1 game versus Duke away, and 13 BE games left in regular season.
IF Ponds is healthy remainder of season after today (and I think we’ll beat Creighton at home today with or without Shamorie), I say we’ll go 10-3 rest of the way in the BE, 3-0 in BET and be 27-7 on Selection Sunday.
The tea leaves get very murky beyond that.

Not even going to look at the B.E. tourny, if we don't go 11-7 in conf, it's going to be a major disappointment to me..
If we lose tonight, well that will be off the table at 2-4, to me it will feel just like last year.
A great ooc then crap out in conf. They gotta win tonight.

No question this could be a season defining game. Simply cannot afford another home loss if we are to have any shot at the post season.
