3 Stats That Make You Go……WOW

Minnie Minoso played returned to play in the majors in 1976 and 1980 at the age of 52 and 56 respectively. He only had 1 hit in 12 at bets during those two stints. Doing so made him the only player to play in 5 decades, but it also dropped his lifetime BA from .2997 (300) to .2993 (299)
Another Bill Veeck promotion.

Well, baseball is over for me, so back to the statistical oddities of the game; Warren Spahn had 363 career victories, 356 with the Braves, 4 with the Mets, 3 with the Giants. He also had 363 hits in his career and you guessed it, the same 356/4/3 split between the teams.
One other Spahn oddity, while obviously a great pitcher, he was also no slouch at the plate. He actually had more consecutive years hitting a home run than pitching a shutout, 17 to 15.

Here’s one courtesy of the NY Posts Vac’s Whacks.

Randy Johnson has a 7-9 record lifetime in the postseason — 5-0 vs. the Yankees, 2-9 vs. everyone else.

🤬😡
