Means nothing. Different system, different team etc.The PG who an averaged 2.6 assists? Good enough for 4th on uconn last year.
He’s great. Dont think he’s a point guardMeans nothing. Different system, different team etc.
Newton shot 32% from 3, this kid shoots 37% from 3. So hes better then Newton at other things.
Newton was really f*cking good. He knew when to get others involved and when to look for his own offense to a level you just don’t see often.Means nothing. Different system, different team etc.

Sleeping in the Hall. Wusu is a BE player. Middleton was a big recruit just a year ago for OSU. The mid major guards they brought in seem to have some ability. They brought in at least one other wing too from a high major D-I. I think Sha will coach them up and they will be better than people think.Tier 1: UConn
Tier 2: Creighton, Marquette
Tier 3: St. John's, Xavier, Providence
Tier 4: Villanova, Georgetown, Butler
Tier 5: Depaul, Seton Hall
Notes:
- UConn gets the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise, even though this roster is not as talented as last year it's still damn good
- Marquette is the biggest question mark in the conference for me right now. They did not replace Kolek or Ighodaro and are asking a lot from their returning players and freshmen. Kam Jones is a stud, they have other solid players but can they keep being a top 20 team that Shaka has built them into without the pick n roll monsters of Kolek and Oso?
- Xavier has had a top 3 off-season in the conference, I love what Miller has brought in. Having Freemantle and Hunter back will be huge, they'll be a tournament team this year.
- Providence has added a lot of good pieces, none on the level of Devin Carter, and the health of Hopkins is paramount, they should be pretty good though top 6 in my eyes right now
- Villanova is in a world of hurt, don't care Dixon is returning. Rumors are the staff there know they are potentially on the way out.
- Georgetown better throw some money at players next week. Butler will be mediocre. DePaul can't be worse.
- Seton Hall has maybe 3 players worthy of playing D1 basketball. If they win more than 14 games this year I'll be floored.

Means nothing and very charitable, but I think I saw us ranked 16 in a 'way-too-early' pre-season Top 25 ranking.Generally agree with this. We haven't won an NCAA tournament game in 25 years, so we don't deserve the benefit of the doubt, despite our HOF head coach and really good (on paper) roster. Do think we'll be ranked 20-25 preseason depending on how we make out with this last scholarship.
