No Auburn interest yet, where his brother plays.

Alpha Bangura averaged 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.5 steals while shooting 45.7% from the field as a freshman at Monmouth. Of course he couldn't shoot. Bashi averaged 6.3 points, 0.9 rebounds, 0.3 assists, and 0.2 steals while shooting 38.0% from the field as a freshman at Monmouth.

You really have to be careful with these lower level guys.

I grew up in Monmouth and love this area but as far as basketball Monmouth is as low level as it gets.

Bashir is a three point shooter, guaranteed. But his advanced defensive stats are wildly bad.

The funniest part of the ESPN documentary about the Johnnies in (I think) 2001-2002 - which was very good actually and still on YouTube - was a locker room scene after a practice when Jarvis had the team together and was talking about who had the green light to shoot threes. He said Hatten, Willie Shaw, Donald Emannuel and someone else. And Banguara raises his hand and says that he should be allowed to shoot threes also. And Jarvis said something to the effect of "I can't do that Alpha, because I want to keep my house and my car"...

I loved that.

It was Eric King that raised his hand.

So he’s good enough for the number one overall seed in the tourney but not good enough for us to at least show interest? If you can get him at the right price and have 15 schollies not worth at least a look?
