In this case I think Bryce Hopkins is a grad transfer (been in school for 4 years) so I think he is already in the Portal.

Injury history is risky, but hard to imagine a player entering the portal with a higher upside.

CRP went out of his way to praise Vince, Prey and Lefty today for improving, for whatever that's worth. Maybe pumping up their trade value :)

Knicks gave up on Bernard King because of devastating knee injury and he went to I believe Washington and returned to being an all star. Would have loved to see a healthy King play alongside Ewing.

Pitino is playing matchups and felt the length of Vince against Kalkbrenner gave us a better chance to win than Prey.
 
According to Rob Reinhart, several schools have expressed interest in picking up Hopkins, such as Dayton, Vermont, Tarleton State, and Iona. Reinhart also mentioned that Hopkins is meeting with coach Rick Pitino to potentially work out a deal with conference rival St. John’s.

We need a two guard that can hit threes regularly. We didn’t have that this year and teams we should have had more separation with were kept in the game.
 
Bryce Hopkins would be great. When he’s healthy he’s phenomenal. Totally worth grabbing him because he’s elite talent. It’s 1 ship with huge upside. Fwiw, take this with a grain of salt, but there were lots of rumors he was healthy this season but wanted a change and retain eligibility and redshirted. Now he’s portaling. I can’t say I blame him with Kim English there and wanting to make best move for his career.
