2025 BIG EAST TOURNAMENT

This is a fitting end to Neptune's tenure there. This second half has epitomized why he would never achieve consistent success there. Even when it was tied earlier in the half you could feel UConn was open to take control because Villanova just wasn't generating any decent looks offensively. Just no movement, not getting the ball in the right players' hand in the right spots. Contrast that to UConn who constantly had Karaban running off screens or getting Liam the ball with momentum going towards the basket.

At least we know there will be one coaching change in the league this year.

This was 51-51 and UCONN now on a 14-3 run with a free throw to come.

Going to be essentially the 4 best BE teams in the semis. Xavier being 4b almost there ..

From what I was told it is not 100% Kyle is a goner.

We’ve been in this group, but Big East really needs Villanova and Georgetown to be nationally relevant.

Neptune seems like a nice guy but not cut out for this at this juncture in his career.

Pitino commented about how little Red was in the stands for our game Vs Butler .

Then , he asked how many Tickets each school gets . Who ever was sitting next to him said” 300. “

Is that about right ? Which means only 3-4000 tickets go to the Schools in Total .

The rest go to the Ticket Brokers or , the Garden itself ?

Just curious .

As for tonight’s game , Marquette had to go all out to beat Xavier and that has to weigh on them physically .

Zuby has to be more a factor again than he was Vs Butler and we have to wear out Jones on both , offense and defense .
Can’t let him get to the hoop so easily or , make those long 3’s .

He almost always goes left and that shouldn’t be a surprise to whoever guards him .

And ,please let’s not have Scott on the bench within the first 5 minutes of the game with 2 fouls .
Hope Smith can contribute , despite the shoulder .
Rick says “ his injury is more mental than physical and has to play through that …”

Sounded a lot like Tom Coughlin with that quote .
Counting on our 3 Stars , RJ, KR and Zuby to have big games tonight .

Need some scoring from Wilcher too and easy on his fouling too.

If all that happens , we Win.

The conference itself gets tickets.

The corporate sponsers.

Fox. I'm assuming NBC/Peacock got a share this year.
