2025-2026 Season

Watched some of the Iowa State game last night. They are solid, don't turn the ball over and have two excellent players in point guard Lipsey and power forward Joshua Jefferson. Having said that, I like our chances against them as I think our front court will give them fits inside and I think we will wear them down.
i was impressed with their Big guy Buchanan - UVA transfer i believe.... dont remember him at all in our game vs UVA... but he looked read solid against Miss St

I saw most of the first half and maybe the first five-six minutes of the second half. Buchanan didn't stand out while I was watching last night but based on stats he does appear to be their one shot blocker .

"After Carnesecca home games were included in the student season ticket package, suddenly, this season, that’s no more. The system has now changed, making it a “first come, first serve” basis when logging online to preorder tickets during the week, making it a very limited and aggravating process for all students."
Dare I ask why those students who purchased season tickets in the past didn’t show up in mass for the games at CA?

Still going to need 10-15 minutes a game from him or some combination of players when Darling isn’t in the game.
Seems like Pitino is very comfortable with Oziah playing point when Darling is on the bench. Not ideal for Sellers but he seems willing and doesn't turn it over much.

If Rick asked Sellers to drive the team bus he'd do that too. Sellers, Zuby, Ayo, Mitchell are all-stars in the coachability, work ethic, and selflessness department

Check out these comments from Mark Pope. Yikes

"If you build an organization the right way, then your identity is not about an individual person. Your identity is about a collective group," he said. "So it shouldn't matter if we had built a great organization and a great culture, which I've clearly failed to do up until today.

"But we won't fail this season. We just have failed up until today. We will build an organization where we won't be able to be disrupted every time someone steps in and steps out because we'll have a team identity, not an individual identity. Until we get there, we're going to really struggle. That's my job. That's why [AD] Mitch [Barnhart] brought me here. I'm doing it poorly. I won't be doing it poorly for much longer."

Dayum. Love to see coaches take responsibility like this.
