The potential depth of the 2025/26 team is exciting to say the least.
I remember games at the Garden when I would walk in and we had like 8 guys warming up. I’d look over at the opposing team and they would have a solid 12 guys warming up. Some nights we appeared to be a CYO team. That’s the truth.
Pitino is accomplishing what “everyone said could not be done”. A full team filled with talented Big East caliber players. Of course, talent alone does not win. RP needs to piece it all together. No better guy for the job.

Every team heading into a new season has question marks, concerns and challenges. I am looking forward to upcoming scrimmages to get a better sense of what our learning curve is. Rick as usual will use social media “schtick to motivate the guys, but the real work begins and ends at practice.
I believe he’ll have the team prepared heading into a tough OOC schedule. I do expect some bumps in the road on the D end, but you have to expect that adding so many talented guys acclimating to his high team defensive standards & expectations.
