Some stats from the scrimmage:

Ruben Prey: 15 points, 10 rebounds, four assists
Zuby Ejiofor: 10 points, seven assists, two blocks
Bryce Hopkins: 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists
Ian Jackson: 17 points, five rebounds, four assists
Dylan Darling: 14 points, six rebounds, five assists
Dillon Mitchell: 20 points, seven rebounds
Kelvin Odih: 15 points, nine rebounds, six steals
Joson Sanon: 13 points, seven rebounds

Odih had 11 deflections. Ian Jackson and Prey had seven each.

Thought we had a tough time trying to figure out minutes distribution 3 months ago when the roster was essentially completed.

Now we have to factor in Bryce + Mitchell + Zuby playing a decent amount of minutes together.

Odih playing himself into what sounds like more than spot minutes.

Darling being the primary ballhandler.

Sounds like we have plenty of depth to absorb injuries which is a great thing. But if all are healthy then something's gotta give.

I was gearing up to post about some of the stuff I’ve seen with UConn but now seems like a SJ moment…these observations are based on entirety of camp not just today
1) Jackson is not a pg. No need to say it’s a “failed” experiment just progress to multiple ball handlers. When Rick says he needs to get tougher it’s only mentally. He needs to move on after a bad play. Hes plenty tough physically… and he’s SO good offensively. Not sure how Hubert couldn’t see how to utilize him.
When they signed Darling I was trying to walk some ppl of ledge now I need to pump the breaks. He’s really good and wouldn’t surprise me if he plays 28+.. he’s tough, smart but he’ll be hunted. He has the ability to D the pick and roll well which will help.
Mitchell is WAY better than I thought. WAY better.
I love Prey and he’s an elite defender.. and he has improved offensively but still work in progress.
Sanon has the entire tool kit..slower to get acclimated than I think they thought but he’ll get there..
Odih…wow. I’m not sure I’m buying the major minutes thing but this is my guy in a foxhole. He’s a warrior. Honestly…reminds me a bit of when I first saw J Butler at TJC.
This team is good..I mean REALLY good.
Back on line for next week or so if any questions just lmk. Hope this finds everyone and loved ones safe and healthy

I'm absolutely convinced 79 and Panther know each other and not known it or have stood side by side because their scouting reports are identical :)
