2025-2026 Season

This may sound crazy but I think Mitchell is a quick as Demary. He’s a NBA athlete.

No questions about skill. I’m also not sure Smith plays many minutes against us. As a guy who wanted him as insurance this offseason, I will say — his splits against high majors last year pretty bad.
Someone in the trilly discord (a Syracuse fan) said Smith is much better than sellers, and also better than Sanon and Jackson. He also said Smith is the best bench player in the conference which was the original topic of the conversation. I was speechless

That Cuse fan must be a St. John’s hater from the old days. Saw almost every Dayton game last season and M Smith had what I would consider a disappointing season as did the team overall. Conference also was down and it was already a step down from the BE. That said with the surrounding talent at UConn he can be a very solid complementary piece.

We'll be fine with Darling as opposed to Smith imho.

Or Silas…
I am pretty sure what happened is Demary was Plan A. By the time that blew up the staff had got big eyes and let Smith walk because they figured they would land someone better. And then they didn't. Happens. We will be fine. But no need to run down Smith who I think will be a very solid player for U Conn and would have been for us

I think he was Matt’s plan A but Rick didn’t think he was PG material and moved on. It said a lot that he went to Europe right after the visit.

Smith is a nice player and would’ve added a little bit more certainty to the situation, but for our expectations of the team, I’m still not sure he’s playing crunch time for this team.

I don’t want to conclude Malachi is injury prone, but recently he underwent a minor knee procedure after a workout injury. He is expected to return to full activity in August, according to UConn Athletics. In the past, he also dealt with a lower body injury that caused him to miss several games in the 2023-24 season. Dayton Athletics also reported that he had ankle surgeries in the past.

Strength and conditioning not an issue

Looks like Untermeyer Gardens. Don't think it's the Cloisters. And yeah, Jackson is jacked.

Edit: Mrs. LMF says it's the Cloisters. And since (a) she was just there and (b) Mrs. LMF is never wrong about these things, it's the Cloisters. Would have been a good hill run to get up there if that's what they did.
