Pretty direct transfer of about $8 million from the BE to (take your pick) the ACC / Big 10 / Big 12 / Mountain West by only taking 3 schools from the league versus an extra crappy team or two from the others.

Not evenly split. The Conference uses a calculation which rewards the NCAA participants at a higher payout than non participants. And the Conference office takes out a share for their coffers.

PAC-12 got 20 mill which will be left behind to Washington State and Oregon State — who just settled with the rest of the PAC-12 deserters for a total of 65 million.

Those two schools will be splitting over 100 mill the next 6 years.
