2023-24 SJU Basketball Media Day ESPN+

He can talk all he wants, maybe even have Soriano/Dingle not start against Rutgers and Pace. But I would be absolutely amazed if those two are not playing 30+ minutes per game come November 7th.
They shouldn't have to, game should be over by halftime vs. Stony Brook, I want to see Brady, Wilcher and others get good minutes, they need game time action.

I can't remember the last time that I was this excited for a season to begin. As St. John's fans, it's like a long trek through the desert, and you go through pain, despair, resignation and delirium. Then, you reach the oasis, and Coach Pitino is waiting for you.

It's been a long time coming. Can't wait to enjoy the ride.

Rick Pitino and the Johnnies are very much looking forward to playing Rutgers, Simeon Wilcher welcomes the growing pains, how a new jumper and tears in 7th grade led Brady Dunlap to today and so much more from St. John's Media Day. Here's my recap from today, my interactions with coach, the players, watching practice and everything in between.

His game lends itself more to the NBA than some guards who will be better college players IMO.

He’s big, is strongest in the pick and roll, d’s up, and has the requisite athletic ability.

Compare that to a kid like Elliot Cadeau, who I love and who has all the skill in the world, and Elliot will struggle with his lack of size, length, and defending bigger guards.

Looong way to go for him, but he could stick with an NBA team as a 2-way guy if he improves his game this year.

Jordan Dingle feature:

Said if starting was so important to him he would have stayed at Penn. I was under the impression that he was out of eligibility at Penn either because be graduated and Ivy League doesn’t allow grad student eligibility or because Ivies didn’t grant Covid year. I blame old age but can anyone clarify for me-either a youngin or a sharper oldster? 😉😊
