Wasn't he playing for a team in the Caribbean

That season might be over. He was added to the Duck’s The Basketball Tournament team. Not sure if he will play for them or not.

Julian Champagnie's measurements at NBA Combine:

I believe heights are always listed with shoes so all things considered, only 1/2” exaggeration is pretty good. I was expecting an inch shorter based off of what I have seen.

Listing heights with shoes always seemed silly to me. If someone asks me how tall I am, I tell them my actual height, not the height I am in ridiculous platform sneakers.

True, but does your height impact your ability at your job? I’m joking but I think the shoe height makes sense seeing as that’s their “playing height”.

I agree, they play basketball in shoes, so their height in shoes is what they should go by, which I think most people do.  I don't think most of us will ever see them without their shoes on, so for all intensive purposes for the viewers their height is whatever they are in their shoes.

So I guess hockey players should be measured with this skates on, football players with their helmets on, and clowns should be measured on stilts. Unless you were born with shoes on your feet your height should ne measured just like everybody else's, in your bare feet.

Is height as significant in those other sports?

Don’t forget the extra inches from  the curls, clowning is no joke.

Unrelated, but have a question. If I were a can't-miss stud senior who didn't like where I was going to be drafted, could I say I was coming back to school for a fifth season, but then right after the draft change my mind and sign as a free agent?

(Imagine if Tim Duncan were in this draft class, for example, and wanted no part of Detroit.)

Are they wearing 7" shoes? If not, telling real height across the board shouldn't be a big deal.

The only sport I can forgive real height not being used is pro wrestling. And that's technically sports entertainment.

@GoodmanHoops

Still some big draft decisions left prior to today’s deadline to withdraw:

1) Johnny Juzang, UCLA
2) Max Abmas, ORU
3) Jason Preston, Ohio
4) Scotty Pippen Jr., Vanderbilt
5) Terrence Shannon, Texas Tech
6) Jose Alvarado, Georgia Tech
7) Isaiah Mobley, USC
8 Kevin Obanor, TBD
