I think the Mathis move clogged things up a bit, but he weren't here I'd be all for Champ at the 3 and trying to get French to come aboard at the 4.

I didn't realize his FT percentage was that bad, but he is a definite impact big next year on the glass/defensively and I think would be terrific in Anderson's system.

He shot 56% last season but 66% the season before. Those are not good numbers but a little better than the 33%.

Low expectations
We clearly have never interacted if you think I'm a low expectation poster.
Three things LJSA will NEVER accept:
a home version of the game
a year’s supply of Rice A Roni, the San Francisco treat!
a case of Turtle Wax.  Turtle Wax, gives your car the hard shell finish!

Take him out at the end of games? He’s a banger. If he gets fouled a lot in the act throughout the game until the end when you take him out, is 2 for 6 or 3 for 9 acceptable?

I've watched a number of French's games in the A10. He is a hard nosed player and excellent rebounder, rim defender who could help us. You take the minuses with the pluses. Having said that, just don't think that is a position of need for us and would rather see Stanley and Wheeler get minutes at the 4. Get that combo guard we need and I'll be happy.

He went to the line 2.3 times a game last season.

He's averaged 8.4 rpg for his career.

We've frequently been beaten up on the boards over the past four seasons while he was in St. Louis.

I'd say we could have used him.

Exactly, his poor FT shooting costs you on average about one point per game while he gives you rebounding, interior defense and put backs on offense. Easily a net gain player.

We should have been all over French out of HS.  I forget who we focused on instead (it may have been the big kid who never ended up here).  And I think Macon was the guy who got him to St. Louis.

Matt's made a living by taking chances on major reclamation projects, but this was by far his worst decision ever.

The trans hooker thing would have been a tough sell for any school, much less a Catholic one.

Oddly enough, some guy made a very recent, weird You Tube commentary slide show video on Brown history w/ almost 350K views in a month. Not anything new other than at end guy noting Brown still a positioned as female now.

Amazing what people spend time creating for "views".  Our luck, St. John's gets mentioned a bit.
