St. John's and Georgia Tech will play a neutral site game in Miami this December, per @JonRothstein

Finally getting that game back from 2013, but I thought GT owed St Johns an MSG game.

On another note is the LB St return game scheduled for the Walter Pyramid next year? Asking for a friend.

I think the Georgia tech game was from many years ago - Jarvis days? But they still owed us a game unless they bought their way out of it. I believe we did that with Duke Mullin's first year.

So we know four games for next year:
@ Barclays Center - Temple, VCU, CAL two games
@ Duke
Georgia Tech Neutral site

The Creighton site does a nice job on future big east opponents.

We played Gtech under lavin. We also didnt play duke CM's first year. Previous time we played them was lavins last year when coach K got his 1000th win at msg.

We played Georgia Tech as part of the Barclays Center Tourney in lavin's 3rd year.

We played @ Georgia Teach in 2003 and never had a return game, maybe got out of it when Jarvis got fired who knows.

got a feeling that we will have more transfers in our future. Better keep on recruiting Matty. Nothing in stone, but if Ponds goes to NBA, I still see another two leaving- giving us 3 additional ships to what we already have vacant now. Theme next year will be.....wait for it......we were caught off guard with transfers, wait until 2018/19. This staff needs to be proactive anticipating more defections or guarantee we don't have anymore. 1st order of business for our staff- STABILITY! I still think we need a proven coach on the bench, ala Steve Lappas type. What does Mitch bring to table?

Mitch gives us 2 HOFers on the bench instead of one.

What does this have to do with this thread?

Are you sure? That's what I've been hearing all year long.

going into this experiment, most would have hoped we'd secure more than what we have by now. Our record dictates, we don't deserve and can't command high level talent out of HS. Ponds has been the exception.

Brooks short lived verbal was more about circumstance / timing than anything tied to relationships with 2 HOF's.

I'm looking forward to Williams & Roberts over time, but the HOF buzz seems to not be high on most kids criteria.

They keep trying but being top 3, 5 or 10 on a kids list is meaningless. I'll think otherwise if they can secure some combination of Precious Achiuwa, Scottie Lewis, Kofi Cockburn or Igiehon or Jordan Brown (this year).

Trust me, even if this staff strikes out with those "must get" targets and goes 15-15 next year there will be the same Homers who will find reason for "extending" Mullin because he is "Mullin".
There is a small Cadre of Deniers who will support our knucklehead coach because they are allowed photo ops, contact with Mully's and Carnesecca and who will continue to find Lavin to blame 4 years and an entire recruiting class removed as reason to support him. It won't be about winning or it being "just business" but having the balls to admit they were wrong. Trust me, there are a handful of fans here that hate and conspire against fellow fans they have never met but will defend the shit show right under their nose.
So nobody is going to talk about Tariq Owens leaving? I’m pretty confident we’ll have to replace him.
I'm starting to wonder the same, in regards to possibly having to replace him.

Guys please get this back on track. This thread is about next year's schedule.
