2016 Red Storm Report

I don't think he is a project. His offense is pretty good for his size.

I just recall that his numbers at Tenn State were not very good, albeit as a freshman. Some have been saying that CJ and Amar will be stuck to the bench next year because Owens will take their minutes, so I figured I'd ask, if he is a backup 5, I have no problem with it.

Tennessee

I stand corrected

In the early days under Jarvis, he use to do a radio show (forgot who the co-host was) from Mickey Mantle's. I worked at Columbus Circle at the time so I use to met up with a friend and we go there for the show from time to time. That show wasn't bad. They talked SJU Hoops and other things happening around college basketball. It was 100 times better than the Red Storm report which is worst than similar shows on other college sport programs I have seen.

Bill Mazer?

Wasn't he the maven guy who used to post here?

No

Not the Maven, but the "A-Maz-In" (as in The Amazing Mazer).

Speaking of Amazin'. What ever happened to ESPKEN from this site?

I don't think he is a project. His offense is pretty good for his size.

You gotta remember though that in the red white scrimmage basically he is playing against half a team that hasnt won a big east game yet and could end up with our worst record ever.

That's not to say anything bad about him at all. It's just keeping things in perspective

True, but what impressed me was his athleticism and that he looked stronger than I had expected -- something I'm expecting more of after his sitting out this season.

I think he was top 100, top 125. He's athletic and will have a year of practice seasoning under his belt, as well as a new weight room approach. He will be a very good backup for us. Possibly a one-year starter if Sima is good enough to leave after his junior year.

This show would be better if they spent five minutes every week profiling a dance team member, instead of the women's team at the end of the show.

Nice piece on Bill Wennington this week. I forgot he played 2 years in Italy in the middle of his career.

Two things stood out on this week's edition. First, unfortunate and poor timing to have a special feature on Jayson Williams given this weeks events. The second a much more positive note where coach CM stated he would like to see an improved CA Arena in the form of a 10,000 mini MSG. When Brandon Tierney asked him if he has brought this up with the school administration, Chris replied " I just did". So there is some hope on that front.
