Freeman is really the only one with a connection to Matt A through St. John's or Iowa State. I know a few of them would never leave or wouldn't work in the Big East. But, I bet one of these guys could work for us.

I din't realize Freeman (who we recruited out of Juco) received a redshirt for last season.

Was at the LIU game- was probably our team going through one of their funks we've seen this season- but I liked the play of their bigs- keep it local and go with Zanna

We sharing this list with Matt? lol

Probably better not to go with someone we've played since their stats will be inflated... :silly:

Probably best bets would be either kid from Umass-Lowell or from LIU as they would both be taking a step up in competition. All the others based on stats are getting plenty of PT and are at big schools.

Lol yea Zanna's actually one of my favorites on the list as he is one of the few guys i've seen play. Pretty sure he got a double double against us. Other realistic guys I like are Freeman, Davis, and Stith.

The problem with the UMass-Lowell guy is he is only 6'2, so it's kinda crazy he averages 9.4 boards per game.

Perfect, he can play center. ;) :)

I have watched Freeman play several games at Rutgers
His skill set is not a match for our needs

Haven't brought up all season but Livingston would have been a perfect fit on this team this year. Might have made enough difference to produce a NIT bid. Too bad his past was so sketchy. Doing will in Big 12.

Any other local bigs uncommitted worth a look?

I have seen the UMass-Lowell kid play on ESPN3. He has great hops and plays like a forward(61% from the field). Obviously low level of competition but shows that a 6"7 athlete like Yawke can be a real threat.

I am putting a 225 lbs minimum requirement on our next PF.
Needs to be good enough to be in the rotation though. Not many guys available who would help us next year, so I wouldn't limit it. Another guy around the size of Owens could also be a big help if we can't get a power guy, we're pretty short down low when Owens comes out.

Definetly would of helped but his boards dropped significantly. He probably would of grabbed more for us though.

I'm surprised his rebounding numbers aren't higher put that 11 ppg game stat line would be perfect production for us from a power forward/Center

Yea we need a real scoring threat inside badly.

Isaac Kante from Brooklyn, although it looks like we are not recruiting him.

Ironically, unlike Derrick Walker, he was offered by Kansas State.

FYI Isaac is a Brooklyn kid who went to Robeson High and played for former Robeson standout and West Virginia guard Todd Myles. It should be noted that he was a full qualifier out of Robeson but is playing this season at Putnam Science strictly for exposure purposes. He's a kid with a big body and lots of energy and toughness. I have not seen him at the prep level so I can't give a full eval, but based on what I saw at Robeson he was a kid with lots of upside, wish I had a more recent look at him
