2015-2016 Season Ticket Prices

Did you all receive renewal packages on here? We did not, and have since been told (by the school) that full payment is due next Friday, 7/31.

Are you surprised?
Our ticket office is the epitome of Mickey Mouse.

*Cue those who like the person running our ticket operations to refute.

I did not receive either and I've been a season ticket holder for years. Glad I saw this. Pathetic!

i got my renewal email weeks ago and renewed before I came here to Australia.

PS in case you weren't aware, greg's in Australia.

But seriously, where are you in Oz? Are you traveling around after the wedding?

oh did I mention that I was in Australia

Greg,

If you haven't already done so, make sure you take a daytrip out of Melbourne to Great Ocean Road. You will enjoy one of nature's most beautiful coastline's.

Yes, I did and you're correct. Full payment is due by next Friday, July 31. Seems kind of early to me, but I don't remember when I renewed in the past.

OK, I've been having mail delivery problems where I live, and it looks like it's struck again.

You can renew by phone. Call the ticket office.

Yes. You can also do it now via the redstormsports.com account. In the past, we've actually gone to the ticket window in front of Carnesecca Arena, and done it in person. I'm not really worried about that aspect of it.

I'm just glad I found out about the date now, and not after it was too late, since I didn't get renewals (and nobody here mentioned that they had received it, so I kind of assumed that nothing had been formally sent out yet - silly me).

Dennis Myron, who never wore the Mickey Mouse ears some professed here, knew most of the season ticket holders by name and history, even if not by face. When this sort of thing happened to me, I'd call, and he'd warmly say that he knew I'd be renewing by season tix, so he was holding them for me. More than once he initiated the call to make sure I'd have paid.

Melissa is a close friend of Dennis' and operates the ticket office with the same care. The whole process may need improvement, but to be fair, there are some terrific people that treat season ticket holders as co-alumni and friends - something I am confident is lacking in big time operations.

You may not also be aware that despite attrition in the ticket office, because of hiring freezes, replacements have not been hired. Melissa does her job with the help of one of two interns, and in doing so, has done a very commendable job in the process. Hope Bobby G. reads this thread, because she deserves both accolades and more help.

Sorry Beast but while Dennis might have known you and others in and around his age group he did not know the majority of ticket holders. In fact because of knowing certain people he played favorites. And his successor is cut from the same exact cloth. She isn't short handed she just chooses to limit what others in the department do. Micromanaging.

Multiple years in a row they ignored my change of address on the invoice and sent renewals and tickets to incorrect locations. Not sure how much more I could do on multiple occasions but correct them in big bold marker on the paper.

Excuses about why opposing fans get seats in front of season ticket holders was blamed on MSG but with some creativity to CARE about season ticket holders issues like that could be avoided.

You and I have had this discussion on here before so I guess we have to agree to disagree. As I am not alone in my feelings, you are not alone in your feelings. So fair to say its somewhere in the middle. They are hardly as impeccable as you paint them out to be or hardly as incompetent as I see. Feel free to reply but I made my point and I'm going to leave it at that.

Fair post, Moose. My experiences are mine, and yours are yours, so it's not fair to dispute either. I do know they are incredibly short handed, and when you are it results in some of the errors you have experienced.

I do agree with your point about single game tickets being in better locations than season ticket holder's seats. I think those decisions are not being made by the ticket office, but directives at a higher level.

Hope you are enjoying the summer. See you in the fall.

When Myron was in charge, he had Melissa as his capable assistant. Myron retired and they promoted Melissa, but failed to hire someone to do her old job, thereby forcing her to do what she did before along with Myron's responsibilities.

I shudder to think about the work involved in placating the teams rabid 84 season ticket holders

Actually I've been told that the ticket office and the entire athletic department has been hopping since Mullin was named coach. We'll see how that translate to increased ticket sales, especially if the team is less than a tourney team. But the enthusiasm in the AD has been a breath of fresh air for a program that pre-Lavin had a stench to it for a long time.
