'13-'14 Team

Between Sampson, Obekpa, Sanchez, and God's Gift, the front court is going to be fine. I know it seems like he's the forgotten man at times, but I'm even excited to see how Christian Jones progresses over this season. He showed glimpses last year that he could be a productive player at this level.

But what this season will come down to is shooting. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if the team does not improve its shooting from last year, we are all going to be disappointed in 2013-'14. I'm hoping that with the addition of Jordan and Hooper, as well as the return of Harrison, that our shooting will be more efficient. Cause watching the team shoot the basketball last year was just painful.

I don't think we'll see much of Jones at all. Just enough to keep him interested and growing as a player because he will be a key player in his Jr and Sr years.

My guess is he'll get some play in the early part of the season, but once conference play comes around he'll take a seat. I still like him as a player though. Tough, physical kid down low who had some skills.
 
Oh boy...I am blind for life. Anyone else see Obekpa's picture on instagram in the short shorts at practice? Looks like the 70's are back! Garrett also asked Greene how he was liking the Under Armour and he replied "it's so so". Not sure if that was a joke implying Obekpa's short shorts were UA or if he was serious. Hope it's not serious and that UA is disappointing the players. Also really hope UA keeps the gray/black/red color scheme (the special edition ones last year) for jerseys as a specialty one to be worn for a game or 2.

If we run and pressure as much as the guys were promised, the rotation will be deeper than many expect.

There's 80 mins/game at the 4/5 and All of Sanchez, Obekpa, and Gift, Most of Jakarr and some of Dom's minutes will take those up. Very little for Christian, though I agree with Doody that in the non conference slate the roster will run deeper. And of course injuries could change everything.
