We need Ian.Am I wrong to think that if Ian was coming, something would have been said or leaked already confirming he was committed? This is lingering a little too long for my liking and makes me think he is waiting to go to the highest bidder. Hope I am wrong. And am I also crazy to think that him not coming is not the worst thing for roster construction knowing we already picked up 2 SGs at the same height? Might we be better served getting a stud SF in the 6’7 range for the starting lineup to go with Hopkins and Zuby (wouldn’t RJ look good in that front court)??
Young men’s frontal lobe cortex is not fully developed until 28.Yes, I know he is doing what every other kid is doing and I don’t fault him for that. I just question his intelligence
And a PG ASAP! Can’t wait to see how that plays out and who they eventually get to lead this team. There has to be a stud PG somewhere who has the desire to play 35 minutes a night and star on Broadway. We need Ian.
Let's hope Ian needs us.We need Ian.
It's been leaked about five different ways.Am I wrong to think that if Ian was coming, something would have been said or leaked already confirming he was committed? Market sparse for stud PGs, portal wrapping up soon, so give me “highly competent”. I think staff knows the stakes. Re Ian, I would not read too much into absence of commitment yesterday. If it drags on next week, I would be concerned. Still strongly believe Ian will be a Johnnie. And a PG ASAP! Can’t wait to see how that plays out and who they eventually get to lead this team. Agreed and then I think the pivot to a SF has to be an option (Watkins, Stojakovic or can I wonder about an RJ reunion no matter how delusional that feels!)Market sparse for stud PGs, portal wrapping up soon, so give me “highly competent”. Both guys you noted don’t seem in play.Agreed and then I think the pivot to a SF has to be an option (Watkins, Stojakovic or can I wonder about an RJ reunion no matter how delusional that feels!)
I know, just throwing out names in case the pivot from Ian needs to occur but still hoping for Ian. And I really do wonder if there is any world in which RJ and Pitino could come back to each other knowing RJ is not a first round pick (last I read was projected in the 70s) and his story and fit with this team has been a good one, at least I think so. I am sure $$$ and egos would get in the way of a return but you never know. Both guys you noted don’t seem in play.
NMThis will be the fourth different "name on the front" in four years for this lad. Just sayin'...
I don’t get why we didn’t invest in Lewis. I know he’s a freshman but seems as good an option as is out there. Maybe he didn’t do well in Pitino’s workout. Buy beggars can’t be choosersWith all of the high end talent we're amassing, you would think that a very good PG would want to come here to play with them
Are we for sure out on him? I know $$$ is an issue (isn’t always!!)? Nova trending for him even though they picked up that other PG Lindsay?I don’t get why we didn’t invest in Lewis. Agree. Looked very good in Jordan Brand Classic (above video). 8 rebounds, 8 assists are impressive. Hopefully staff is still considering him.I don’t get why we didn’t invest in Lewis. Waiting for pigs to fly stands better chance than RJ reunion imo.I know, just throwing out names in case the pivot from Ian needs to occur but still hoping for Ian.
