At a glance, who would I prefer, Richmond or Smith? Since there is no shortage of good programs interested in both and we are not exactly in the strongest position for either, I prefer whichever one decides to pick us.

Footnote

The Smith alleged transcript/academic situation scares me if that is the reason for the Kentucky no go.

I thought grades don’t matter anymore with few exceptions e.g. Notre Dame, etc.

They do at Michigan (see Love, Caleb) also. If that is the reason the Kentucky visit was canceled (again, KENTUCKY who will never be confused academically with fellow SEC member Vanderbilt), then that is a major concern.

Also the new transfer immediate eligibility rule the NCAA passed has taken affect and it includes academic standards.

For me, I rather have Omier than Omoruyi.
Norchad’s offensive post moves are far superior and would be out best since Ty Grant.
I'm more excited to see a Ejiofor-Omier frontcourt than I was a Omoruyi-Ejiofor one.

Hard to tell a kid to turn down an extra few hundred thousand, but if the first thing they do on the last day of school is to move back north and buy a house, probably means they should have stayed in the area where they most wanted to be to begin with.

Can we just ban Cliff posts or let them fall off a cliff into off topic ? F him
Not sure what you do for a living but I surmise you are a financial advisor of some sort.
If I am wrong, probably what follows is irrelevant.
But if right, why would Omoyuri trying to maximize maybe the best chance he will likely ever have to generate the kind of money it appears multiple “someones” are willing to give him elicit a “F him”?
He didn’t create this “Fface” situation but in reality he is just not that great a ball player and he would be a damn fool to not do what he is doing. He may be overplaying his hand but it seems you are offended by him playing it.
Just curious because other posts you have made in the past makes this post from you very surprising to me.

Yes I’m a financial advisor. I’d say to any kid ( as a financial advisor to maximize your money if you have no chance of making the next level “

As a fan I say F him because the financial advisor in me can see this for what it’s worth a money grab. I don’t blame him I just don’t want to waste any more time on him since he was a target out of the gate

When I’m hiring a potential partner or assistant I literally will know the first meeting yay or nay. No need to waste my time otherwise

Wonder if Deivon Smith has yet to qualify to graduate; i.e., he needs a take a couple more classes, like Daniss Jenkins had to last year.

Kentucky, being Kentucky, doesn't have to wait.

Maybe, Rick is satisfied D.S. would be able to graduate over the summer, and we go with Smith?

Just me guessing that another scenario may be in play?

I was pretty sure that would be your answer. Wearing the fan hat on a Friday after working hours lol!

Thanks, understood and makes perfect sense

P.S.
Both well-traveled guys, 3 colleges in 4-years; graduation requirements were, maybe, not high priority, and reality has reared its head.

Why, because he was accused of something and ultimately acquitted? Do you know the details? If not, pretty judgmental.
The girl was his former teammate’s sister. The dad, of the teammate/sister, bought booze for the kids. After finding out that they got drunk w said booze and that Pops boned his daughter (who was over age of consent in the Bahamas), the dad tried to extort the school w a lawsuit.
