What IFFFFF (yes know way it happens) SJU gets an invite, does that mean Van Macon is the coach? Yes i know its not going to happen, but stranger things have happened lol

Macon or we don’t accept but might as well call it NOT because it’s not happening

I am pretty sure SJU talked to a few people on the NIT Committee and are pretty certain they are not getting an invite and that is why they pulled the trigger on Anderson when they did.

But even if they do get an invite, who cares who coaches them? Why is that a problem.

It would be pretty bittersweet if Van ran all his own stuff and we were successful.

North Carolina opted out, they just announced.
They have an "old ass" team that went to the NCAA title game a season ago. I actually expected the Heels to opt out of the NIT. I hope the NIT committee remembers that whenever the Heels wanna participate in the postseason NIT.

This shows how much power the NCAA as an intuition. When the NCAA purchased the tournament 2005, you risked the NCAA punishing you if you ever close to the bubble. Now, the NCAA won't dare investigate Alabama for abetting murder, let alone scold UNC. The only thing they have left is the NCAA tournament and if the power 5 expands to 20 teams each, they will just cut the NCAA out all together.

Seton Hall and Nova both got in as 7 seeds.

I believe they were the lowest at-large seeds so they were the two last in.

So I am thinking Nova first then SHU. And if UNC decided to play that means one of them is probably out (SHU).

The weren't necessarily 7 seeds. The committee only seeded the teams 1 through 4 in each region, then seemed to prioritize keeping the other teams somewhat close to home (though they obviously missed something by sending Seton Hall to Colorado, so it wasn't perfect).
