TJ Cleveland's Role at SJU

In all seriousness, what did he do in his time here except being related to CMA? I remember him being touted as a hot, young coaching prospect. Baffles me that he and Van shared the same title of associate head coach.

it looked like he ran the final huddle of andersons career at SJU as anderson looked on.... but besides that nothing

Unless you go to practices regularly, it's hard to know what most assistants do most of the time. Whatever the many shortcomings were for the Mike Anderson regime, I actually think his staff overall was pretty good. I'm not going to second-guess the assistants.

It is not uncommon for Coaches to bring their “guys” when taking a job. I don’t really know if that’s true here but… At this point who cares. CMA is the former Coach with his “former” staff.

Hopefully, the “new“ Coach and staff are not far away. We know who that is.

There was a lot of chatter on Arkansas boards that he didn’t bring any value. So take that fwiw….

That being said he has a young family. I don’t know what guaranteed money he has but i hope SJU did right thing by all the coaches and gave them some sort of severance.

Did you see the finale huddle on camera with Anderson just standing here and him in the middle ... that's how I know lol
Understood that part. How do you know he didn’t do anything? Big assumption on your part.

I think the TJ criticism is a little overdone. He's another class guy and last game was not the only time he ran the huddle. He's another class act. A young dedicated guy with two young boys. I wish him the best.
Not sure why it became a joke to trash on TJ. I get people were pissed off and unhappy and it was a byproduct of being related to the HC but it was all based on childish nonsense.

He was the main person who helped work with Joel Soriano take the leap he did this year.
