We where the more tougher team mentally and physically. If we could make some more 3 point shots we will be a real tough out,

Half court D was outstanding. No fullcourt trapping press. match up zone worked real well.

That was a wild game. Our team is just wild. We could have bled the clock out in the end but we ignored the clock and just kept putting it up. Bottom line is a win but man if that came back to bite us…effort wise this team has another gear. I guess winning ugly is better than the alternative.

Curbelo and Soriano were very good. Jones played poorly but made some big shots in OT. I’m elated we’re 6-0 although I’m not impressed with our play nor particularly optimistic for the season. We appear to be really poorly coached.
No one will ever think you are changing your screen name to ' Yeah Harvey " :)

I chalk that one up to freshmen inexperience. But as you noticed Jones was not phased and kept shooting after all his misses. He will be a solid player next year.

Double doubles for Jones and Joel. Soriano is our rock so far
He’s playing great. And he benefits immensely from playing with two PGs who set him up. And Jones did tonight too.

Love we won another close one, a problem last year.

Curbello will make his maddening plays but he was really good on O tonight against the zone.

Posh setting guys up on O and, my god, what can you say about his defense and overall relentlessness. He took turns torturing Girard in the first half and then their young stud PG in the second half, who looks like a helluva player.

Jones took way too many 3s and that last one was asinine. But also made numerous huge shots, got after it on the glass and was effective making plays for others too.

Credit to Anderson for mixing things up on how we played the zone and defensively with the matchup zone.

Thought we played really well and was pleased with the game plan on both ends.

The zone offense actually looked like it had a plan and that was dribbling through the gaps and dumping off to the bigs for dunks.

The defense was hyper focused on not letting Girard beat them, not letting him breathe at all. I don’t understand how other teams let a one dimensional player like him ever get clean looks off.

This team needs to clean up some of the sloppiness like throwing the ball into the 3rd row several times a game and work on their basement all IQ a bit (a big ask on both fronts I know) but if they do then the ceiling is raised significantly

At the very least it will create an "we've been here before!" attitude that will come in handy come Tourney time! ;)

The zone is always ugly to play against. Gritty win today. Another from recent years we probably lose. We are gutting these out now. There are some plays that if we execute better don't make this game that close but it's giving this crew some crunch time experience.
