I think a bit of that has to do with the poor level of opponent played thus far. As bad as Nebraska is they are still far bigger and more athletic than any opponent this team has played so far and I think it took them a bit to figure out the stuff they could get away with vs the CCSU's of the world wouldn't fly against better competition. At least that's what I hope it was.
Wow great second half. Looking forward to the Barclays games. Hoping for a cause sju. Should be a fun crowd

I thought the half court defense kept us in the game in the first half. The offense was a problem; not creating plays, but also missing makeable shots, including some good shots. We weren't turning Nebraska over, and while the competition should be accounted for, I thought the half court defense was pretty good first half. And then second half everything starts to click and we blow them away.

The guys were amped for this game. Maybe a little too much. Needed to settle down.

Second half they looked laser focused. And they didn’t play around with Neb at all.

DJ is that guy. Belo is coming. Gotta get the bench playing better, but we’re figuring some things out.

Completely shut off their water the second half.

This team is fun, fun to watch. Especially when they’re right.

Good to see them bounce back with 5 of 10 from 3 after starting 0 of 11.
Also won the Battle 14-5 in second half. D was having it's way at least for the first dozen minutes I watched before leaving work.

Soriano is turning into a poor man’s Kofi Cockburn and Curbelo played with both.

Agreed they were amped up.

I wouldn't have believed it but I saw Soriano played 33 minutes and led the team in minutes played and he only had 1 foul. Plus, he looked fresh at the end of the game. I believe he could have played 38 minutes if he had to.

Big props to Joel for all of the hard work he put into getting into shape in the offseason. That hard work paid off in a Johnnies win tonight. He was dominant.

Nothing to do with better quality completion. Nebraska went from a perennial top 10 team to a cellar dweller. It would be one thing to say they lost a game or two more each year bc of better completion but now they’re losing more than half their games each year.
The recruiting footprint apparently changed with the move. I don't see why it would, but I remember reading that Texas recruiting is a trickle of what it was.

While Posh’s outside game hasn’t been great, he still finds ways to get points at the rim, fill the stat sheet (though too many TOs today), and played harassing D on Nebraska’s PG who was their best player coming into the game and had 8 TOs tonight.

They haven’t been the same since Osbourne left. It’s been a downturn since. Replacing a legendary coach is hard most places.
