We are 4-3.
Will beat Iona and Harvard and lose to Kentucky.
6-4
Say go 13-7 in BE
That puts us at 19-11
If lose this game 19-12 means will probably have to win 2 games in BET to make the tournament.

I don't want us to lose to Kentucky. I have a minimum of $500 and 500 miles to drive invested in seeing that game!

Just let the season play out man. Pontificating on how many BET games we might need to win when it’s November…

Absolutely. But I just think harping on this now is a waste of time. For instance, 13-7 and two of the wins are against UConn would
be better than 15-5 with two losses to UConn. So we just have to watch the games and see what happens. Silly trying to decipher where we would stand based on record.

Also penciling in the Kentucky game as a loss already LOL. They’ve had their struggles against high major opponents much like us this season so far.

When we are struggling, St. John’s fans think it’s only happening to them

I don't even know if that's true. The Big East is garbage. There is only two teams in KenPom's top 40: UConn at 13 and us at 17.

Villanova is 41.

For context, Ole Miss is 42. That puts them 10th in the SEC...

This is why when everyone was saying how this schedule is incredible and fantastic and couldn't be better, I harped on one more tough game. The Big East is just a very sad, nostalgia-based conference. I hate the reality of it, I truly do. But it's just bad bad bad

I woke up this morning after a great thanksgiving and said to myself " mj it's Friday the market closes at 1 then it's the weekend and your fantasy football team in the redfans league got off to a great start last night. . How do I find something to depress me I shouldn't be in a good mood in light of these events " Then I said to myself " mj check redfans and maybe DK has a new post to depress you "

It certainly would depend on who the losses are to. I think Butler/Georgetown/Hall have held their own a bit in this early part of the season, so I don’t think those would be bad losses (obviously I don’t want to lose to them at all, but still)

Nova I can’t get a read on yet but they go to Michigan on 12/9 so we’ll see if they can compete in a game of that magnitude

But all in all I agree, Creighton and Marquette both being down this year leaves a certain stench on the conference that probably commands we go 15-5 or better. We will see

Yeah, the BE desperately needs Willard and Cooley to succeed at Nova and GT, McD’s successor (on staff now) to maintain excellence at Creighton and Shaka to embrace the portal.

I also think the League needs to move on from Val and sweeten the pot for an out of the box thinker and strategist in this fluid college hoops era. Increased financial acumen, marketing proficiency and leadership seem “musts” at this point. Be bold, adapt or perish.
 
For what it’s worth. Cheapest subscription I am seeing for Peacock is $7.99 a month. However Walmart is running a deal today only that if you join Walmart + (sounds kind of like Amazon Prime) for a year for $49 you get Peacock for free for that entire year. I may go that route as the wife likes to shop online.

Along with the regression in D , the alarming and confusing rebounding issue, lack of a true point guard on the roster there is another issue no one is mentioning. Last year whenever we needed someone to have a big game, make a play or score a must have basket, RJ stepped up. As of now don’t have that guy.
13-7 seems overly positive at this point.

Ole Miss coach really is savvy, but he does not seem to have the horses to succeed in SEC this year, obviously early though. We should beat them at MSG or it may be more difficult to make excuses even for blind loyalty guys.
