I’ve always argued when you look back at the Iona team, they had great talent for a mid major, but some of it was the development.
Your right but I didn’t follow Iona , got to know the players when they got to SJU. I don’t know if anyone thought they would have 2 nba players. Not sure anyone would argue that Iona did not great talent for a mud major during Pitino’s time there.
Vince seems happy at GT
According to current eligibility rules, this is his last year as long as he stays healthy through their first 10 games or so.Wish he never left.
Surprised he did, with his HS teammate Sellers here.
But also you see how little Tamba plays. Vince wasn't playing over our frontcourt. But he would have been a starter next year.
Thank you. Forgot he played more than year at USCAccording to current eligibility rules, this is his last year as long as he stays healthy through their first 10 games or so.
I don't think our current constant switching defensive scheme was the one Rick thought he was adopting full time when he took Vince on 18 months ago. But Zuby's emergence and the athleticism that allows him to guard 1-5 basically necessitated it. Vince just doesn't fit that scheme at all as he's much better in a scheme that lets him just camp in the lane and alter shots taken at the vicinity of the rim which is what Cooley runs.Wish he never left.

Weirdly enough, Tamba looked really impressive in the amount of space he covered so fast in that last sequence, but then once he returned to the paint looked lost on their last basket. But also you see how little Tamba plays. I wanna see if that holds up as the competition stiffens. A good barometer for him will be against UNC.Him becoming a bit of a focal point on offense over there is very surprising though especially with how efficient he's been so far.
Think combo of Caleb Wilson & Veesaar will eat him up..Wilson especially.I wanna see if that holds up as the competition stiffens. A good barometer for him will be against UNC.
Agree. I think they're going to do a number on him.Think combo of Caleb Wilson & Veesaar will eat him up..Wilson especially.
Hard to keep kids like him these days. No doubt the staff wanted him, but he was going to play behind Zuby. So can't fault him.Wish he never left.
