Alabama (MSG), Sat., Nov. 8, 12 Noon, FS-1/ 1050 AM

By my count, St. John’s frontcourt outscored Bama 61-32.

Your number is referring to points in the paint, where Bama’s guards chipped in immeasurably.

Look up stats for the game . Official stats refer to Points in the Paint . Not individual points of the player . Points in the paint don’t break it down to the individual player . And , since we lost , what does it matter
Unfortunately Zuby and Hopkins weren’t much a factor down the stretch of the game . They didn’t see the ball very much in the 2md half .

Add up your front court on Bama and list them by player please

Give me your Alabama front court each player and points and rebounds vs ours. Name by name

Offense way ahead of last year. Defense needs a lot of work. Dont we have the coach for that?

I think its strange to already question the potential ceiling of this group when we have seen them look great for stretches against championship contenders already. They don’t crown you for wins in November.

Sly,

MJM's point was about our frontcourt (i.e. Mitchell, Hopkins & Zuby) being better than theirs nothing else. Our starting front court scored 53 points and had 18 rebounds. Bama essentially started 3 guards. Even if you want to consider Philon a frontcourt guy they scored 51 points and had 14 rebounds. How many shots both teams in total took had zero to do with MJM's post/point, smfh.

Points in the Paint is the Official stat , not just the total of points by front court players .
Stick with whatever explanation you want , if that makes you and others feel better .

Our play was disappointing by any assessment . .

Your original post stated Alabama’s frontcourt outscored St.John’s frontcourt. My response was calling out that falsehood. Nothing more nothing less.

That’s irrelevant . Points in the Paint is the criteria , regardless of individual stats .
irrelevant I just busted you absolutely 1000% lying and you cant back your original statement up

Go back to your first statement where you cited points scored front court

I'll absolutely retract my lying statement if you name your players and ours in your statement

But you won't. Because you lied

How is a comparison of the frontcourts of the two teams that played today irrelevant? His point is that ours was much better and their backcourt was way better. To the tune of us having a lead with 3 minutes to go.

With all the hoopla about recruiting outside shooters these guys look worse than last year.

Where was Lefteris today? We couldn’t have done much worse defensively and he could have helped space the floor a bit more. Hand up my Greek bias makes me believe our starting backcourt should be Lefteris and Fotis but he’s earned some minutes!
Wasn't a game for Lefty. Alabama is a team that doesn't help off shooters so he would have just been standing on the perimeter without getting the ball all game.

We attempted 17 3s today. All of them we either contested or Alabama purposely let Zuby, Prey, Hopkins take them
