8. Amarri Monroe, Quinnipiac

A senior power forward that would've gotten a big paycheck to transfer out and head to a high-major, but instead Quinnipiac holds on to the best guy (by a good margin) in the MAAC. Monroe is even getting a few NBA scouts into QU practices in advance of the season, just to see what he's working with. Last season, the 6-7, 220-pound product from Newburgh, New York, averaged 18.1 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.3 steals — thriving in an uptempo scheme.

We ate him up last year and we are better up front this year.

Dal975 is a smarty pants, Regis all scholarship Jesuit, most prestigious high school in NYC.
I could've gone there in 1972 but my parents (mother) didn't want me traveling into Manhattan from Greenpoint. So, I had to take the GG to Queens Plaza, then a bus to Aastoria to Mater Christi. Much safer...:)

Bright side, MC was brand new and co-ed. Diocesan school too, so cheap.

Back on topic, looking forward to my replica Big East Championshjip banner at the QUINNIPIAC game onday.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember some Pecora guys thinking he should have got the job after Norm over Lavin.
I don’t know why but I vaguely remember there being some kind of NYC coaches dinner and pecora taking a shot at Lavin or something but I could be completely mistaken

I can’t blame Pecora if he thinks he should have gotten the job just like I wouldn’t blame Jay Wright thinking he should have gotten the job when he was up

Lavin was the better hire without a doubt
