2025-26 NY Football Giants

Click on the photo to see how monumental of a collapse this was. Joe Pisarcek will now be forgotten.

Daboll is done, but so should Schoen. It is incomprehensible to bring back a 37 year old kicker who was injured last season, without a real backup plan.

Horrible.
Daboll going for 2 after the first missed extra point was as dumb a move as I’ve ever seen. You go up 20 there so 2 TDs with 2 point conversions and a FG don’t tie the game. It didn’t play out that way but it is just 2nd grade math.
While Dart’s INT was obviously huge, it is in his DNA to try to make plays, unlike Daboll. Just as stupidly after Denver scored after the interception Daboll was still trying to run out the clock when it had ceased to be a factor with the Giants up 3 and over 2:30 left. So Denver used their time outs, big deal.
The Giant defense had already been exposed as paper tigers and you had to go out and try to win the game on offense, not sit back with a loser mentality, which he has big time.
Also worth mentioning was Dart’s decision to not throw the ball out of bounds and getting sacked on the play he twisted his ankle. It took them out of FG range although with that kicker it was obviously no sure thing. Hopefully he will learn as he gains more experience, he certainly appears to have the goods to be a franchise QB; let’s hope he’s just not pulling a Jeremy Lin.

It is difficult not to get excited about Dart. He moves in the pocket and keeps his head up looking downfield extremely well and he is an absolute gamer. Those are two of the most important traits you look for in a QB.

Dart will learn from his mistakes. This is only game 4, in a season he was not even supposed to play. Plus his teammates love him and he has their respect already.

Let’s also keep in mind Dart hung 33 on the road in Denver against one of the best defenses, while operating with a putrid set of receivers.

Dart has made the Giants coaching job more attractive to other candidates.

And 34 on the Eagles.

For a team that couldn't sniff 30 points for years to do that in back to back weeks.

So, in the grand scheme of things Dart has done nothing except show GREAT potential. Sports are littered with phenoms who started careers like a shooting star and fizzled out as quickly. Hence my Jeremy Lin reference.
Having said that, that potential, which in my mind he only added to yesterday, is the reason I have started watching the Giants again.

Dart has made games worth watching and worth giving hope for.

But, the couple of things that worry me is: he's bound to get injured with the way he plays football, and inevitably, Daboll will be fired & deserves it. A good way to get a promising QB to take a step back is having instability.

He's going to get injured if he doesn't change his style of play immediately. Franchise QBs can't be taking shoulder to shoulder hits with any kind of frequency.

Yes, because the best way to observe schemes is in a grand scale.

But to compare Dart to Lin in small scale, because Lin went from Linsanity to obscurity very quickly. Flash in the pan is an insult to pans and flashes.

If you want to compare him to the promise of Jones after his rookie season, then I think that one is closer because QB is arguably the most important and most difficult position to master.

Terrible loss. I have seen lots of progress in this year's Big Blue. I don't think that firing the head coach solves their issues. Coach is learning his players too. I think a loss like this can make better players from this disaster.

Drake Maye has made a major step up in his second year with a new coach.

The offensive coordinator from Detroit was hired in Chicago in large part to work with Williams.

Good coaching candidates will want to work with Dart.

Yeah. Daboll just has to go. The team is consistently undisciplined, he makes ridiculous game day roster decisions, and I'm not really convinced his scheme helps Dart as much as Dart's playmaking ability.

The latter doesn't concern me as much, hypothetically. But, it does depend on who they ultimately get.

No, I compared him to Lin for the very reason you articulated, it had nothing to do with the respective sports or positions. But then you clearly knew that.

Horrible loss, obviously. Daboll consistently not taking the extra points is a killer. Get a viable kicker in here. It has cost him 2 games, and if he doesn't get it fixed quickly, wil lead to him losing his job.

Got get McVay after the year. He’ll probably cost a 1st or 2nd with him having 1 yr left on his deal with the Rams. Dart 🎯 with McVay barring injury good for next 10 years. Other guy would be Kingsbury. Get AP as your Defensive Coordinator the coach staff not the shits anymore. John Mara should name a president to clean up the front office mess.

I'm sorry. The team has 50 holes. I can't stomach giving up assets for a HC.

Also google Sean McVay's house. I think he's just fine.

Personally I want a defensive focused HC. You can always find a gimmicky OC. Jeff Hafley (from NJ, BC ties which Giants love). Chris Shula (there is your McVay ties). Maybe Jesse Minter. He has that Ravens defense blood.
