That’s a pretty tall order but, not out of consideration . Walter is my 2nd favorite Redmen of All Time and arguably 2 nd Best overall .
Walter gave us , 1 very good Season , 1985 and 1 All World Season in 1986 .
But , the reality is that Chris Muliin has to be the. Number 1 Offensive Player and Number 1 Player period . Chris gave us 4 years of Excellence and John Wooden College Player of the year in 1985

It’s all subjective. Can’t go wrong with either, but Walter was as close to automatic as you can get. Chris is our all time leading scorer and better all around player. But if I need a bucket when it matters most, I’m going with the truth.
All great points….and it’s still possible that our greatest clutch player was Boo Harvey.
Did Boo have any 30 win seasons? The truth was two for two.
Walter was the John Wooden Player of the Year in 1986.
I know. I said “clutch player”. Boo was the epitome of clutch.
I wonder if any other school in memory has had back to back Wooden POY like we did in 1985 and 1986 (different players).
