2025-2026 Season

A bit surprised Ian Jackson is not in the top 100? Especially seeing some names listed at the 80-100 area.
Not really surprising when you consider that he didn't even crack the All-ACC Third Team last year. He obviously has enormous potential, which hopefully will be proven out under Pitino.

But it's weird that Sanon is in and not Jackson. That same logic, and similar production on an underperforming team, applies to him as well.

B-Hop to me is the easy guy who should've been on the list.

Perhaps the buzz around Sanon's performance in practice thus far (and/or positive words from Pitino and staff) is responsible for that.

10 guys listed (from my quick read) from the Big East. Karaban, Demary and Ball all in the top 50. Let Ian use the fact that he isn't being considered a top 10 player in his conference (according to this list) as motivation. I'd rather that than see him sitting atop a random list of players.

If St. John's is supposed to have the best overall roster in the country, at least according to Jon Rothstein, why does UConn have four players listed in the Top 100 while St. John's only has three? I agree with Eric, leaving Ian Jackson off the list is a head scratcher. It's not like UConn is rated #1 in all of the pre-season polls.

I actually think it’s just a mistake leaving him off this list by the person. Maybe they just forgot about him. Looking at many of the names in the 70-100 range he is better than plenty of them the amount of times I’ve seen them play. I’m no scout but I can figure it out he is.

Not sure if he’s in other lists or not. Just saying about this one in particular.

this is one guys opinion who is making an arbitrary list...these ultimately don't matter.

Ian Jackson has star potential, Oziyah Sellers had a big year last year, Dylan Darling coming of a player of the year award, Ruben Prey could take that sophomore jump...etc etc etc

These lists are fun to debate but don't put too much stock into it

Exactly, means nothing other than something to talk about and click bait. For the players, maybe a motivational tool but there are so many of these, who can keep track.

Right. Bulletin Board material for guys like Ian and Dillon. Nothing more.

Agreed. Look no further than the delusion in college football's early Heisman and bogus top 25 projections by the pundits.

It's entertaining, to say the least.

The truth is that no one can entirely predict how a 20 year old kid is going to perform and how various talents are going to mesh with one another. With that said, even with the inherent risk of built-in biases, I would put much more stock into the thoughts and predictions of diehard fans (like us) than those of many of the so-called "experts."
