Sorry for your bad experience and I know for fact it’s happened to my friends but overall I think their ticket process only mistake they made was let’s say people going from 2 to 6 tix. But we could have gotten much better seats but we are 114 to the core
 
Spoke to a friend who renewed yesterday. He had seats for many years before getting bumped in the prior big reseating and like many canceling. Renewed 2 years ago and with few points, pledged somewhere between 5k and 10k to hopefully keep seats in higher rows near midcourt.

He selected yesterday, 107 gone, 108 largely gone, so is now on the aisle in 109 halfway up. Not happy after soending money but those seats aren't horrible.

Does anyone know whats left today, especially 106. 107. 108, or 116. 117 or 118.

Obviously the closer we come to filling 100's the further away opposing fans will be.

Hoping for a better season than last then one step closer to owning msg.

Those 6 sections still have seats but like you said not many. Silver package has plenty seats left as ofnow
105,109,115,119. I myself sat in 107 for a long time. I pick Tuesday morning, sure they will all be gone by than
Hope people who switched to 6 tickets don’t intend on selling them. That would really be shitty for us loyal fans

I would say that the guys who sell for a living mostly lost their great seats but these guys can be slippery for sure. Would just speculate that anyone with enough points to buy the best seats probably dontneed to make a few bucks on re-sales.

I would think if there is not another reseating soon just check in with ticket office before you renew. There are always cancellations. Also with corporate seats we may find that a good number dont get used except for the top games on the schedule.

If I can’t get a good seat in the 100s I am OUT! Too much money for 3 seats to put up with lousy seats! Watch the games on TV and save $4000
 
I wonder how many of the new ticket holders are Rick Pitino fans and will drop once we have Bobby Hurley here in the not-too-distant future.

Again why are St. John's fans talking like this and wishing for this to appease their current unhappiness - having a bad coach here whenever Rick retires is asinine.

The goal has always been for Coach P to elevate this program and for it to be a very desirable location for whoever the successor is.

You're basically asking to be miserable
 
It is fairly predictable that:

1. Folks who like the outcome are satisfied with it (even while recognizing the issues)
2. Folks who don't like the outcome are aggrieved and quite vocal about it
3. The school achieved its goal of maximizing revenue and ticket sales (no idea what expectations vs outcome was but I am sure they made forward progress).

The folks in category 1 are generally a combination of loyalty and financial commitment. The folks in category 2 are generally loyal but don't have a history of financial commitment. The school has prioritized financial commitment while making some allowances for loyalty. The folks in category 2 understandably feel that "some allowance" wasn't enough.

IMHO if you look at the landscape of college athletics, and if you want St. John's to be competitive, the school set the needle in the right place. But fully understand that many disagree with that. And also completely agree that the many hiccups in the process didn't help anything.

But there's no such thing as a free lunch, folks. The fact that you've been a loyal Knicks fan for 30 years does not mean you get a discount on the $1,000 playoff ticket. It's a business, and rose colored glasses doesn't make it not one.
