2025-2026 Season

Suspicious Season 6 GIF by Paramount+
Well, there can't be any doubt as to which B.E. team is Gary's (Danny's) Old Town Tavern. As far as SJU, even during those challenging times, isn't it great to support a school that has an environment where "everyone knows your name!"? 🍻😉!! Yep, a little hokey, and perhaps slightly straying off topic, but it's not even August, and many of us have already reverted to our 21-year old (or younger) selves in anticipation of this season!!!!

Funny to get sucked into a convo about the 2026-2027 roster before August, but Odih should have loads of playing time available to him if he stays the course.
Thought a bit about this, and think Kelvin can be real good. Assume that Jackson amd Sanon make the leap and become first rounders, who does CRP bring in next year as guards? And how will Kelvin stack up against them? I sort of hope we can get the same level transfer class next year as this one. Unless he develops fast, could we lose him next year or the year after?

On this topic at best you sound like a glass is a third full kind of guy. 😉😊

Interesting article on Lefty's improvement for the Greek U20 team since last summer. Can be translated to English.

"He gained weight, got stronger. He became more resistant to contact and shocks, while there is no doubt that he worked a lot on his shooting. Lefteris Liotopoulos, who unlocked the "blue and white" in the third period against Lithuania in the premiere to ultimately seal an easy victory for the Youth National Team, has spent several hours on the mechanics with which he shoots. Something that has also given him greater self-confidence."

Missed the most interesting quote:
"Pitino, in fact, did not miss the opportunity and is currently in Heraklion, Crete, to… scout young people. Among them, of course, is Lefteris Liotopoulos."

He’s extremely impressive looking from the glimpses I’ve seen.

He said he liked the guys from Panathinaikos, his former club. The two guys that play for them are Neoklis Avdalas and Alexandros Samodurov. Avdalas will be playing for Virginia Tech. He went through the draft process, and looked pretty good at the NBA combine. Apparently, he chose Virginia Tech because he will be the main guy with the ball in his hands. I'll be trying to watch some of his games/monitor that situation closely because playing for a school like that brings a lot of potential for backfiring your draft stock (e.g. Sanon and Arizona State)

Alexandros Samodurov is a NBA prospect. The guy on the Trilly discord said if he goes to college, he'd have to be promised a starting role. 🤷‍♂️
I think he ended up taking another Greek. There was someone new with the team at the event today. Announcement hasn’t been made but I was told it’s a Greek freshman, Fotis
