Season Tickets

anyone have a pricing breakdown of sections? or what they were? single digit sections... center ... i can do the mental 30% increase... math mojor...nbd...
Link below to seating chart and prices from last year. If you were "single digit section" at MSG last year, then you were paying $3,300 per seat. So with a 30% increase, be prepared to spend around $4,300 per seat this year.

Any percentage used right now would be based on overall increase. I expect it will be higher percentages for higher priced locations and lower for lower priced locations, leading to more revenue than a straight 30%.

That is what I have seen in other sports, as the idea is there is a segment who will spend almost anything and to get just that from them.

Time will tell soon enough.

What about corporate sponsors? Faculty/admins with very low points? Courtside freebies to former players or "celebrities"? Bump up. Bump up. Bump up. Misleading partial truths are sometimes worse than outright falsehoods.

I'm willing to bet that when my timeslot is up there will be more taken seats than those just based on priority points above mine.

Now, for the record, if a new season ticket holder donates 5-10k they will likely still be back of the line. But, if that same person donates 5-10 million they can chat with Rick during the game. Again, maybe as it should be, but where's the cutoff for that?

agree... rather full transparency... BUT...BUT...

This will all be forgotten by the time we host Ole Miss as the #1 team in the COUNTRY....

"Any business would look to exploit a superior product for as long as they can". Well said and accurate
Before the reseat starts, could the school have offered season ticket holders the opportunity to keep their seats if a specific donation was made? Without the donation the seats would be included in the reseat.
That is a good idea. I would have gladly considered that unless they set the minimum too high. They had to move CA ticket holders that will be affected by the change to seatbacks to I guess to be "diplomatic", they reseated everyone. And annoyed everyone.

I’m another 108 guy, and based on my own unofficial analysis of the MSG seating charts a few months ago I agree with Kull’s assessment. The math proves out.

There is a “you never know” aspect to this, but I do believe most people will be in an equivalent spot. There will be a few outliers, and I understand if they end up feeling frustrated and not appreciated. Personally my expectation is a spot I like just fine but not as much as what I had. I’ve been braced for the sticker shock and regarding that part agree that as long as SJU puts out high level teams that’s a fair outcome.

Another frustration with how this was executed is that many of us have developed friendships with those right by us and the deck is being shuffled, even if slight. By now though we know all this and it is clearly the it is what it is part of the process.

Including the clunky implementation which all knew was a given.

I feel like this is a complete political answer. We shall see how it plays out. Whether he is a man who tells it like it is or one who hides and spews answers we want to hear.

How I read it is if you are a season ticket holder at all (even one year) that you can jump in front of others. So basically we are getting all the Pitino people jumping in front of us.

Also the comparison of where I would want to sit because Pitino is coach is irrelevant. Yeah they are good now. So what. Repole is the major backer. What I could give is peanuts.

It's about loyalty and not stepping on the ones who aren't as well off. The getting an extra 3K from me for tickets.

Meek may inherit the earth but they'll be sitting in worse seats
