Around the Big East 25-26

Good move

Wow that's a huge get for Georgetown, surprised they were able to given it's been a decade since their last At-Large bid while UNC has made the NCAAT Finals 3 times in that period. Guessing for UNC that Georgetown's academics played a role, along with it being game(s) they should win.

Georgetown is still Georgetown IMO, even though it is a diminished version of its former self. I feel the same about them as I did us pre-Pitino. The name, tradition, location, brand, etc still means something. And like him, hate him, or in between (I'm in the "dislike" category), Cooley being at the helm helps stuff like this because of his personality and some of the media-love he gets.

ManyBE teams this year have really upped the ante on OOC schedules.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan men’s basketball is finalizing a home-and-home series vs. Villanova beginning this season in Ann Arbor, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

The series would see Michigan host Villanova this upcoming season, with a return game at Villanova in the 2026-27 season.

The interest isn’t there, though. Our fans were never far away even though we struggled for 25 years. They averaged 5,600 fans with a new coach and they haven’t been bad for that long.

We actually have some of the most resilient fans around even though we lost an entire generation of fans.

Mich gonna blow em out by 20+... won't be pretty this year...

Agree with you there.

Second MSG game for UConn in OOC. Great game for them.

I know I'm greedy, but would definitely like one more big match-up...
2nd this... we are gonna def be pre-season top 10... maybe top 5... i wanna capitalize on it as much as we can... Quin / Iona / and one more "BUY" game... lets make that final game another showcase...

I HATE, ABSOLUTELY HATE, UCONN playing games in our house.

Let them play at Barclays, who cares, not MSG!

I get it but also think it's flattering how every major brand in the country wants to play at MSG. These are neutral games for UConn, the same way their BET games are neutral, and we will still play there 3-4 times as often (as the home team, too).

The only time I started getting annoyed by it was during the CMA era when we decreased our number of MSG games and I believe either UConn or Villanova played more MSG games than us some years (factoring in the BET). Those were dark days, today not so much.

Dark days indeed.
