Yankees 2025 Season

It's amazing that Boone keeps getting a pass on this shitty defense and baserunning. And supposedly they spent all ST working in those 2 things. Boone was typically all about making excuses in the postgame report. As I've said plenty of times, Grisham plays too shallow and too nonchalantly for my liking.

Volpe's baserunning and defense was suspect today. Please just make the routine plays.

Geez the bullpen was awful today. No Weaver or Hill for a longer stint?

You score 7 runs, you have to win the game.

These players approach each game like it's a long season; "we'll win the next one." This is a disservice to all their fans that live and die with each at bat. I want a team where they appear to care as much as I do.

Somebody said the Yankees are the only team to play 162 one game seasons......

Maybe Boone is an ass kisser, and that's why they keep him as manager?

This is what was needed, the bats are teeing off today, and great pitched game from Yarbrough.

5 innings of 2 run ball, good game.
67 pitched though, give the kid 1 more innings.

Get the feeling Boone won't though.

Judge is back over 400 again.

Rice's granny was absolutely spanked. Left the park very quickly. Judge is super human at this point, and Goldy continues to rake. Yarbrough was very solid today, as was de Los Santos in relief. Good bounceback win. On to Seattle.

Cabrera taken out on a stretcher after appearing to badly injure his shoulder while trying to score from third on a medium fly ball by Judge (he was safe).

Yankees might have no choice but to play DJ every day when he comes back. They're running short on infielders right now.

EDIT: Looks like shoulder and/or ankle injury.

Any stud in the minors? Even single A,?
DJ is done.

Just watched the replay without the sound. Looked like it may have been his left leg, foot or ankle? Such a likeable guy and player. Tough loss.

We're going to see lots of DJLM and Peraza. Not good.

Offense clicking for sure.

Didn't think Schmidt had it early, but figured things out. Too many walks and 3 ball counts.

Who knew that the trade with the Padres was actually the Trent Grisham deal? Shocking, I know....... He has been outstanding at the plate this year, and if he could not play so shallow and so non-chalantly in the outfield, he would be phenomenal.

Wells with a nice game, Judge continues to be amazing, Goldy too. Bellinger seems to be coming out of his offensive coma. Schmidt grinded his way through six, and has really emerged as a solid #3 starter.

The Cabrera injury is just heartbreaking. His versatility will be very difficult to replace. I'm not looking forward to seeing LeMahieu playing every day, and with Chisholm out, it makes infield depth a real problem. Pablo Reyes is at best a replacement level player. Peraza is merely average at this point. This is where the Devin Williams trade hurts a bit, because Caleb Durbin would have been a nice fit right now in the Cabrera role. Oh, well. Gotta keep grinding.

They will need to eventually trade for an infielder for depth and because we know 3B is going to be a black hole unless DJ turns back the clock and stays healthy (highly unlikely).
