2025-2026 Schedule

So right now OOC is:
Three games in Vegas for NIL
Ole Miss at MSG
Kentucky in Atlanta

Already upgraded from last year. Hope we can add a few more.

Also the Louisville MSG game, but that isn't finalized so we'll see if it happens. Regardless already an excellent schedule.

This would be unusual, but with those November/December MSG games nearly guaranteed to sell out (top 5 preseason), I'm wondering if they'd try to schedule another OOC at MSG? They're really pushing the boundaries now in many ways, so going for a very tough schedule wouldn't shock me.

Sounds like that game isn't happening but it does sound like we want to schedule one more marquee game at MSG in November. UNC was another rumored team. Wisconsin at Mohegan is another rumor. I dunno if both are related and if its a one or the other.

Being greedy, I also want a tricky home game at Carnesseca. Give me a Yale, the Bonnies, Princeton, VCU, Vermont, or someone like that. Well-coached, talented, probably Q2/3 game but still not a sleepwalk.

Would like a true road game, even if it means one less game at MSG (since we already have Ole Miss).

Norlander also confirms that the Louisville game WONT happen. And congrats to Dave for stealing his thunder!

Norlander just did a podcast on this. Said he was sitting on this for several days but it leaked out.

Got a quote out of Rick in the Bahamas. Said Pope is over the moon about this. Norlander said this might be the best non-conference game CBS has next year.

Said the call for UCLA to back out of the game was Cronin. He did not want another east coast trip like last year when they played MSG for the Classic and then had to come back a few weeks later for the Rutgers/Maryland games. He joked later on, "His team saw the Statue of Liberty twice in the span of a month..."

Although should be noted they do not play Rutgers and Maryland on the road this year.

Said SJU working on another BIG MSG game. Louisville game is dead at this time.

It leaked out lol

It's been in the works for a while. I've had this for weeks. But got a call this morning go run with it as it was going to be announced in the afternoon.

Regardless. AWESOME game, maybe game of the non conference portion of the season. Both teams will be top 10 entering the season, and if all goes well on 12/20 will stay there.

So happy for everyone involved that this got done because they've been trying to get Pitino vs Pope since last year. Gonna be awesome and it's a Saturday, double header - can't beat it

Not sure if mentioned yet - but the caveat is next year - CBS Classic is at MSG. But the game has to be a neutral site for all opponents. Obviously a hiccup for St. John's. That being said, they anticipate to be in it next year, but the other teams have to "approve" it and sign off on it.

For now this is an agreed one off, but the hope is they are in MSG again next year for it as long as the teams approve it
