Exactly. That’s life for Christs sake, it’s not supposed to be easy.
Rick says he wants guys that love basketball if you are doing it strictly for the pay check may not be willing to put in the work to be the best that you can be. Before a comeback saying but if you want to make the most money you will still work hard, true but you will still probably fall short of being 100% of what you could be.

You are not comparing apples to apples, there is a difference.

In sports it comes down to someone who loves it will do the extra asked of him and other things on his own to make himself better. The one who does not is not going to do those things and will only do what he has to or the bear minimum. Pro teams do not want to waste draft capital (picks and money) on someone they feel is just going to do the minimum.

Fair enough. I was in one of my grumpy old man moods when I posted that response lol.

Our AD Ed Kull is a part of this. One year show cause. Can't meet with prospective players during in-person visits (there may be other things too). Will that kill the program? Probably not, but still...

You can joke around all you want to about this, but we're not completely off the hook, here.

I wasn't "joking" I said the penalties were a joke considering the crime and the school involved. The NCAA knows Fordham is not a consistent violator of NCAA rules and was totally transparent.

And Ed Kull not being able to meet with a recruit is not a big issue. Something tells me Ed Kull won't be the deciding issue if a player comes or doesn't come to SJU, just a hunch.

Was not targeting you specifically, Fordham.

Just that the response to this around the country, from those covering it, was laughter.

The Kull thing should not be a big deal, but just something to be noted.

How does the NCAA come up with this stuff ?

Do they sit around a table and say “ let’s investigate Fordham University “

Who cares if Fordham hasn’t been relevant in College BB in over 50 years ?”

They might be doing something that is a rule violation . Or , maybe let’s just investigate anyway ?”
