At this point it’s pretty simple. If we get lucky and Boogie does one more year in college and it’s here we are one of the top 2 or 3 favorites to win the national championship. If he goes pro and we end up with a Darling or Mingo we’re fringe top 10

Coaches with Pitino-like coaching brilliance in other sports have 4, 5, even six championships. It's hard to win this damn thing. A national championship-level guard is possibly out there, so I think it's OK for fans to dream a bit. Staff will push all its chips to center of the table on this one if there's even the slightest crack in the NBA draft position.

Cal played Boogie 20 minutes in their win over St. John's. Had a couple of key plays to secure the win.
In their loss to Texas Tech. perhaps his injury was a liability and played less than 9 minutes with ZERO assists.
Unlike St, John's, Calipari moved immediately to replace him on the roster.
Ian Jackson is not a replacement for Kadary Richmond or Smith.
Unlike others, I don't think Boogie is returning to Arkansas.
Unlike RJ Luis, Boogie is a legitimate borderline first round draft pick.
This may go down to the wire but it won't stop SJ from signing a backup point guard.
There are less than half a dozen schools with the NIL $ on Boogie Fland's price range.

Why would any of us give a shit? We'd be too busy celebrating a championship.
Arkansas has already made plans to replace Boogie if he goes to the pros. Wagner stayed and they have a five star PG coming in along with a 4 star shooting guard.
As far as Boogie goes, I doubt he winds up here and feel he will stay in the draft and go late first round.
This guy begs to differ.
I'll be the first guy celebrating if we have the best (and best paid) team, but I hope the day arrives with some players on the roster who feel some connection to St. John's. Having guys like Zuby, RJ and Sim made a difference, if only because they spent a year earning their minutes.
In the new world of college hoops, having a second-year guy may be the equivalent of the four-year guy a generation ago.
