I will root for Sim wherever he is playing. Still hoping this doesn’t happen but sounds like it will.

Hope this doesn't happen but understand if it does. This is an extremely talented and classy kid from a great family. In the past this is the type of kid you built around. In this new "free agent" world, this is a casualty of war and it sucks. Will root for you always Sim.... hope it is with St. John's.

This is not surprising. He should leave if Jackson comes in. He is not a pg and we will have brought in 3 better guards then him this offseason. He wont play much.

Sim had 2 years of getting alot of playing time and he just did not develop enough for a team with national championship aspirations.
Ugh, Mullins Revenge, when will you hit the portal?

This is the kind of bullshit that sours me on the whole thing. As a fan, no sooner do you develop a relationship with a kid than he’s gone. Hopkins, Sellers and Sanon may be perfectly nice kids but I feel no connection with them whatsoever.
It is all the name on the front of jersey not the back these days. The days of Chris Mullin staying 4 years and developing relationship with fans are over and never coming back. Cherish that a guy like Zuby is giving us 3 years. That is an anomaly in this era

Until some on this board realize that they are going to be miserable.

If we were replacing him with lesser talent I could see worrying, but the three 6'4-6'5 guys they brought in (assuming Jackson) are all more well rounded and quite frankly better players right now.

Definitely want to see Sim return, but would understand him leaving; especially if Ian commits and Rick pulls in a PG. I'm sure Sim wants to start and get big minutes rather than continue as a guy off the bench. With a true PG and Ian on the roster then Sim isn't even guaranteed to be the first guy off the bench. Rick seems to really like him, though, so have to think he will put up a fight to keep him.

If Sim does leave, then he should go to Princeton for a year. In the Ivy league he'd be able to play the point and put up 20 / 8 / 7 per game. Then a year from now we'd salivate over the idea of luring him back to run the point his senior year.....

Don’t want to see Sim leave, but if he does that basically guarantees that Rick has his eyes set on another hopefully high level PG. Sim wouldn’t be considering leaving if the plan was actually for him and Ian Jackson to split the backcourt. He is being recruited over
