He is either going to the NBA or returning to Arkansas so there is no need to enter the portal.

Pitino has no talent to evaluate guards.
All he was able to recruit for Iona were chumps like Walter Clayton Jr., Daniss Jenkins and some kid named Cruz Davis.
None of them even started on other D1 teams.
We'll be lucky to land a 1 star player.

Ugh. I know he cooked us last season but he's just an inefficient player that has never won in his career, not mentioning his academic issues that didn't allow him to play road games that season.

Sellers, Sanon, and Jackson are 3 guys that will require lots of Pitino's attention on the defensive end already. Add Dug to that and it could end up being a real mess on that end.

I know there's not many options left but I'd rather Rick try to pull a rabbit out of his hat with some European PG than roll the dice with Dug

I wouldn’t hold Juwan Howard being a shitty coach against anyone.

And as for the academics I mean do academics still exist?

Rick does have work cut out for him to coach up defense but the European rabbit will take time to get adjusted.

Fair on Juwan, but his numbers at Michigan were actually better than they were this past season at Kansas St. His efficiency in his Soph season at Michigan was fairly average then he went from a 36% 3 point shooter to a 26% one at similar volume.

Agree on the academics thing but just goes to show the bar is so low to clear on that front these days and he still couldn't do it.

I guess I could be talked in to him as we do need a pass first guy at that position which he is. He's a guy that also could completely tank our season
 
Even if we are lucky enough to land Lewis, there is NO WAY Pitino is handing the keys (to this turbo roster) over to a freshman. No way.

Our starting point guard next year will NOT be.....

Lewis
Boogie
Wagner
Wilcher
Jackson
Liotopulous

We will find another kid with solid handles, very good defense, likes to set people up, and can shoot a little.

I didn’t watch Kansas State this year at all. Not sure what happened and how they fell from grace two years ago when Tang seemed like a hotshot coach.

If there is a PG out there averaging 4 apg I’m interested. Especially an upper classmen. Many personally I would prefer over him but as of today pickings be slim.
