We are graced with a legendary coach, who after a few of his more difficult years clawed his way back to the Big East and very quickly went 31-5. That is an amazing feat and he proved he’s every bit on top of his game. Lots of kids are going to interested in playing for Pitino and we have our golden window next couple years until he feels he ready to retire. Until them
I’m sensing this is the zone where we are going to send it just about every season and re-claim our reputation as a program and place at the table.

Every bit as important as winning “now”
Is repairing our reputation. Selling out Garden games abs making huge runs just gives us unlimited potential, even after Pitino is gone. For now let’s ride this wave.
I think we have more than a good shot

I hope Golden does not have any Christians on his staff as next week is our Holy Week. Especially beginning with Holy Thursday.

I am being snarky. Sorry. But I doubt it has anything to do with Passover.

It more has to do with the staff pushing to coordinate schedules as to bring in all the guys they are targeting together as a way of showing them what they can do together next year.

No matter how confident Florida is with Lee, this weekend must make them pause and be somewhat concerned.

I’m sure his boss is thrilled w the SJ success and had we advanced to Sweet 16, Zach, Serby and Vacc would have been there I feel. All about clicks, circulation and ad revenue. Post coverage of Johnnies has been off the charts.

We kid about “Rick Speak”, but obviously reporters salivate over our quote machine HC. This regime knows the value of media coverage. To think in last two years during rough patches our SID was a bit restrictive in terms of access. Imo, the incumbent SID is out of his depth and hopefully Ed Kull is considering an upgrade. Kenny Klein helped in his pinch hitting role and is the gold standard & one which we should aspire to in my opinion.

I agree with most of your post except what's in bold.

First, after Pitino is gone, anyone who would make his kind of impact would cost double. Without the right coach we could slip backwards.

Second, our attendance is still soft, though much improved. Yes we can sellout big games at msg, but for Seton Hall at end of season there were plenty of seats left on the afyermarket in the 200s for $8 by game time. This was for a first place team about to clinch 1st place.

We are in great position, but we still need to improve ticket sales, and post Pitino sustaining success not a given.
