Raleigh, Denver, Wichita & Prov are the 1st & 2nd round sites for West Regionals

Always confuses me that 1st/2nd round locations don't geographically correlate to the Regional round location

Not really how it works. 1st and 2nd rounds don’t correlate really with region. Top 1-4 seeds get region preference so we were always going to play in Providence based on our 2 line and being with Michigan St, Alabama, and Tennessee. Same as if we fell to 3 with Kentucky, Texas Tech, Wisconsin, and Iowa St. Regions really start playing a factor for S16 and E8. So if we were West Region we would do Providence then San Francisco. If we were East we would do Providence then Newark.

Pretty much since we knew we were going to be a 2 or 3 we knew were playing in Providence due to the lack of Northeast presence besides maybe Maryland.

I’m just think the ref made an error. Clueless, yes. Idt it was more than that. And as we all know consistency isn’t something that you can be always expect. I prefer to focus on how he and the team responded.
