Late this morning, MTA Chairman Janno Lieber along with LIRR President Rob Free with the assistance of St. John’s AD Ed Kull held a press conference at Penn Station’s LIRR 33rd Street Concourse to promote and advocate the use of MTA Services to attend the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden.

Members of the St. John’s Pep Band, Dance Team and Cheer Squad were also in attendance. Heavy emphasis was placed on the year St. John’s is having in the Big East and the Band played a few numbers and the Cheer Squad led a cheer of “Let’s Go Johnnies”.

Ed Kull got a chance to speak and highlighted the team’s season.

In honor of the St. John’s team, the lights of the ceiling of the LIRR Concourse was switched from white to red and white and the countdown for the switch was lead by a poster on this Board. The lights of the canopy of the 33rd Street Entrance will be red beginning tonight also in honor of St. John’s. The lighting will stay this way until Sunday night.

Sometimes people don’t wear shoes due to various physical ailments. I have no idea if that is the case here, but I was one of those for a while until surgery directly corrected one ailment and indirectly the other. Not all are as fortunate.
Ed's a little young for neuropathy.
Sneakers w a suit is a generational thing. Millennials don't wear wingtips.

The thing I love most about being friends with SJU85 is when he's on my train it's never late and he always gets us on the right train home which isn't as easy as it sounds after a few post game victory rounds with the crew at Tir Na Nog and he always leaves time for me to get a slice or 2 at Roses
