Seton Hall (MSG), Sat., Mar. 1, 2:15p, CBS

I have to say it, I am almost 60 now. 40 years ago when I was at St, John’s it was such a *given* that we would be a highly competitive team that no one ever wanted to play. That was our identity. That was from Lou Carnesseca. Despite his persona Lou was a tough SOB. Don’t let anyone fool ya. Our teams played with intensity and grit.

I am sure every season won’t be this great but my hope is that Rick Pitino is establishing the Program back to that identity. In interviews I’ve heard RP talk about just that. That’s more important than one season. Hopefully, that’s where we are headed. To the younger guys enjoy it now. Nothing is ever guaranteed.

Special thanks to all the fans and all the posters who get out to the games to support the team and the University. You carry the torch for all of us living out of state and unable to go. Watching on TV and seeing the Garden filled for St. John's game is a great thing to see.
