@Butler, Wed., Feb. 26 , 9p, CBSSN

Vince doesn't fit with the rest of the team in terms of identity. We run out 5 guys that can switch seamlessly except for when Vince is out there. And since we rely on our defense to create offense him being out there hurts.

The other issue I have is for a guy who is 7-1, he doesn't seem to be an effective rebounder. And since we rely on our rebounding to create second chance points and quick transitions to offense him being out there hurts.

The final issue I have is that he never passes the ball when he gets it anywhere below the free throw line. If he is close to the basket then great, but if he is 6 or 7 feet out then he will miss. And since we rely on scoring to create offense him being out there hurts.

Vince, if you read this I'm sorry. I'm sure you are a great young man, but the above is my opinion.
To play on this defensive oriented team, you better have quick feet, concentration, instincts & ability to recover quickly. Sadly Vince can’t check any of those boxes. Not ripping a great guy I’m sure, just giving my opinion of his D deficits.

Gutted out this win when they clearly did not bring the A game and the horrible officials Potter and Chiazza ruined the flow with horrendous foul calls.

1st place…can’t wait to take the LIRR to the Mecca on Saturday
I never complain about officiating because I know there will be plenty of bad calls but though particularly tonight refs let Butler get away with banging our guys around which affected some plays, they weren't of the no harm no foul type calls.

It’s massive. 4/5 games are toss-ups in the second round. 1/4 in Sweet 16 is brutal — ESPECIALLY if you’re getting Auburn or Duke.

It’s a huge difference
lol you play who you play in the tournament. What does it matter if it’s sweet 16 or elite 8? The rest could be valuable in the long run.

Butler played a good game. We played just well enough to win. Having KR and RJ almost guarantees we will be in it at end of any game. It's been the case all season.
Vince filled in admirably tonight but Sim was off his game.
Kolby King is an example of some of the excellent talent coach Anderson recruited during his tenure. Three schools in three years and wouldn't it be ironic if the fourth school is St. John's again because he would be an excellent backup guard.
On to the championship on Saturday!

Vince gave us great minutes tonight

Rick is smooth. See his face when the lead got to within 2pnts, he had that look like don't even sweat it, we got this game on lockdown.

There's a reason this game went all the way down to -5.5 on the spread.

Butler plays well offensively at home. They actually match up with us decently too because whereas our guards and wings can typically out-physical other guards/wings, Telfort and Brooks are built like brick s$$$-houses and that doesn't bother them as much.

Take the W in a tough place to get Ws and keep rolling baby.

On the refs, the only one that made me go nuts was RJ getting called for a touch foul on Mcafferey's miss in the lane down the stretch, only for RJ to get freaking mugged by Brando's favorite guard going to the basket the following possession.

Definitely calls altered the closeness of this game. They got every call.
