that place was epic...the team downed quite a few steaks there! Was it as good as Diamond Lil’s in Salt Lake City where we went at the suggestion of Frank Layden?
Agree 100%. Moreso in the event we have one of those nights where nothing goes right.I really don’t think not showing up for this team will be a problem. They may not play well, but lack of effort overlooking someone is not happening, not this close to the finish line. They will show up.
The SJ teams always ate like it was the last supper when they had home pre-game meals at Dante. I had several meals there back in the day when the team and coaches were dining and the chef was so overwhelmed every time that we had to expect to wait a hour before even getting our appetizers.in the 1987-88 NCAA's we were sent back to Salt Lake. we returned to Diamond Lil's as Coach though it was a good luck spot! The team ate like it was the Last Supper
Carolina was also in the tourney and they also went there for their team dinner. Who walks into our banquet room but Dean Smith...Matt Brust spots him (no love lost between those two) and yells out..."Get out, you're in the wrong room!" and stares him down!
Needless to say we got our tails beat the next day by an undermanned Florida Gators team. And that was the last we ever saw of Michael Porter...got off the plane at LGA and disappeared, never even grabbed his gear off the carousel![]()

First time I've played this game, let's see if anyone spots the theme (which isn't the first name).
