So the NCAA use to have 2 live recruiting periods in April.

They have since moved it to one in May. I think the all the Portal stuff makes going to AAU events almost impossible for college coaches in April.

Not sure how many coaches including SJU will be on the road this weekend. Portal kids still out there visiting.

It is typical NCAA-level incompetence to have an evaluation period right at the end of the NBA draft combine when kids are still making a decision to enter or not, and thus, as fordham said, will be taking visits this weekend.

High School/Prep recruiting is still important.

I think the plan is 3-4 HS kids, 4-5 transfers and 4-5 retained kids from previous year.

Now circumstances will ultimately dictate the combination. Maybe one year you retain more then normal, etc.
